Rapidly earning a press night reputation for taking more free drinks than is considered acceptable, Freddie Starr Ate My Theatre are the enfants terribles of online theatre criticism. Sadly, they don’t speak French and assume that ‘enfant terrible’ translates as ‘stupid boy’. Which is, coincidentally, the phrase they hear most often. Their podcast reviews tend to veer wildly between ‘giggling buffoonery’ and ‘almost coherent’. They are taller than Lyn Gardner.
