BRANDY and BOBBY asleep in bed.

BOBBY turns toward BRANDY.


BRANDY rolls onto back.

BOBBY’s head to her shoulder.

BRANDY rolls away.

BOBBY’s head on her pillow.

BRANDY rolls onto back.

BRANDY rolls toward him.

Their heads touch.

Enter MARCHELINE, crawling, a ghost.

 

MARCHELINE: Mum.
Dad.
Can you see me?
Can hardly see you.
You look like tangles of wool.
I haven’t got any eyes.
There’s no colour.
Anywhere.
Nothing has edges.
It’s fucking horrible.

 

Phone rings. Brandy answers.

BRANDY: What? I thought –
MARCHELINE: Mum.
BRANDY: We were told tomorrow.
MARCHELINE: Mum.
BRANDY: We wanted to be there.

 

BRANDY slams down phone.

MARCHELINE: Dad.
BOBBY: What?
BRANDY: She’s home.
