Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) has announced a partnership with director Jamie Lloyd, forming Jamie Lloyd Productions. The new company will create work for the UK, North America and Australia, presenting a mixed programme of new writing, modern classics and musicals.
Lloyd’s experience includes a stint as Associate Director at the Donmar Warehouse, where he directed productions such as Inadmissible Evidence, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Piaf. His other directing credits include The Duchess of Malfi at the Old Vic and Three Days of Rain at the Apollo Theatre.
This new partnership marks an expansion of ATG’s production work, following the announcement of other production initiatives earlier this year. The group, formed in 1992 by Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire, also operates 39 theatre venues across the UK and provides ticketing services through ATG Tickets.
Lloyd said: “I am delighted to be working with Howard and everyone at ATG. I’m looking forward to developing an eclectic range of work including new commissions made-to-measure for the West End.”
